Abdul Kalam appreciated J&K people for facing quake

A.P.J Abdul Kalam, President of India, has appreciated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for facing with courage the massive earthquake that hit the state on October 8.

He was in the state for two days visit. Kalam told the Kashmiris that the whole country was behind them in their hour of need.

India and Pakistan have opened five crossings along the Line of Control (LoC) to exchange relief goods and allow people to crossover in select batches after verifying their identification.
