J&K Chief Minister & Governor greeted the people on Eid-ul-Fitr

Jammu & Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad have greeted the people of the state on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Governor said Eid-ul-Fitr symbolises patience, self-discipline and compassion that are the hallmark of Islam. Eid brings with it happiness, joy and festivity for everyone, Gen Sinha said, adding Islam preaches harmony, self-restraint, equality, brotherhood and peace.

Mr Azad highlighted the gloom and mental trauma of those who lost their near ones and were rendered homeless in the recent earthquake.

Mr Azad said, "Let us pledge on this scared day that we all work together to make the state Janaat-i-Benazeer in real sense".
